Regarding Americans ( and every other nationality) yowling about Israel;
First, I call your attention to the fact, ISRAEL, is a Sovereign independent Nation.
Israel is NOT, part of the United States, the European Union, or any other nation.
Israel is surrounded by nations that have repeatedly attacked, supported terrorism against Israel, and promote genocide of Jews.
Israel has the same right to exist as absolutely every other nation on earth.
Israel is the ONLY example of decolonization by an indigenous people.
No, Arabs, Are Not indigenous to the region. Arabs invaded in the Eighth century AD seizing control from the Byzantine Empire. ( Also, not indigenous.)
As an citizen of the United States,
My loyalty is to the U.S. Constitution.
That stated.
Anyone that thinks Israel, will act with any other purpose than the preservation of Israel, is an idiot.
I am neither condoning, nor condemning the actions of Israel.
Has Israel acted in the best interests of the U.S. ?
Sometimes our interests align, sometimes they do not. We are separate nations with different agendas , strategic and tactical requirements.
Has the U.S. acted in the best interests of Israel?
Two points, see the above statement.
Second, consider the history of U.S. government abiding by either, the U.S. Constitution, or treaties signed by the U.S. Government. Ask Indigenous Native American Nations about that for example.
Take all of that in perspective.
With our, American, track record of treaty violations and foreign interventions, the U.S. has proven itself to have No moral or ethical high ground to stand on above ANY other Nation or Empire in history.
If anyone thinks Israel doesn't take historical facts, into consideration regarding the U.S, or ANY other Nation into consideration, you are a fool.
Consider the history of Jewish pogroms.
Consider how the world responds to those pogroms.
Now,
Before we, the U.S. starts pointing fingers, calling names etc. ( or ANY other Nation for that matter)
We had best clean our own rooms first.
Standing amidst the detritus and ruin of our own ethical debacles while pointing fingers is nothing other than narcissistic Gaslighting, in order to distract from our own mess.
While Americans, or ANY nation are protesting what ever new outrage directed by Islamo-fascists claims,
Why are we ignoring:
Religious persecution in our own nation? ( Yes, for clear example points directly at the United Kingdom, Christians prosecuted for public prayer while Muslim public prayer is actively endorsed, for example, same in Canada, same in U.S. )
Censorship, political oppression, corruption, treaty violations, human rights violations, etc etc,
Yes points finger at self and waves at the entire planet!
It is all a grand exercise in hypocrisy.
I observe…
All these “ protests” serve no actual purpose in resolving the subject of protest.
All these pretended outrages, serve only to gaslight ourselves into the delusion of moral superiority.
Symbolic actions serve only to distract and redirect action away from actually addressing issues.
Anyone else notice how ALL the protests here in the U.S., from the 1960s forward actually changed nothing?
How about we start, individually, washing our own dirty socks, making our bed, cleaning our room, then when that is done,
Step outside and voluntarily ask our neighbor, how we can help them.
If Anyone is actually serious about saving the world,
That is how it is done.
Sigh….
However, I am confident that most will ignore this truth.
It's easier to pretend outrage, protest others “ sins”, and ignore our own responsibility.
It's easier to hide in our messy room and pretend outrage over the messy rooms of others.
Fake outrage is more convenient, than facing reality.
I’m not offended and I was all prepped to be, this leaves me nonplussed.
I will have to settle for gruntled.
Hence, why I don't take sides in the current Israeli war.
My stance is and has always been, "A nation that cannot defend itself is not a nation at all."
Coincidentally, that's also my stance on Ukraine.
Don't pick a fight with someone who can smash you into the pavement.
