I didn't know about the Sinai details but Eden always struck me as being near the Black Sea, though I never hitherto now gave much thought as to where it might have been. Kind of makes sense come to think of it that it would be in Anatolia.

I still can't figure out how centuries of “scholars” simply ignored the text.

It is pretty cool that Archeology, and ancient texts support the direct statements in the Bible.

Agreed, but having worked in a history department, trust me, it isn’t a surprise to me. Some of them (many of them actually) were brilliant historians, but there were one or two ‘experts’ on every topic who could be well, a little stubborn and dense.

Still I can't grasp the why.

I have seen some of the denseness in field work. People seem to get invested in their ideas, rather than follow the evidence.

Worked on a few Archeological sites for Florida DNR.

Over the course of my life I have had to adjust my thinking, and reevaluate many things because of physical data.

I would be ashamed to try and build my ego on falsehood.

Not that I think I am always right, merely that I value truth, the facts, whatever they may be.

I do know where your coming from, and I do get it. I cannot fathom the falseness that others cling to. We’re in the same boat Donn.
