I like this retelling better than the others I've heard. It includes more history and places the picts and Angles in their place. It weaves a vast tapestry of history.
Sorry it's a bit slow coming, it is no excuse, but, there's a great deal of research involved. Even though it is fantasy. I believe I owe the myth , to get it as deeply anchored as possible.
