Yeah, haiti is like a hot muggy tropical camp Darby, up and down. Another place that's like Africa. The Dominican Republic, now that was awesome. At one time I did have BM59, and, while I love the M14, the Beretta , was even controllable rock n rolling. Easier than a BAR. As for accuracy, , out to 800 meters kept up with my national match M1A, med Winchester barrel, past that, then my Springfield edged it out.
Had to choose, gimme the '59 any day. I did a volunteer stint in Haiti once. Never again. I am no fan of illegal aliens, however, I can't blame the Hatians one bit. They deserved at least the same asylum shot Cubans got.
Knew a Cuban ,from Cuba, back in the day. Met him in Port au Prince. He told me he would rather be in Cuba...
Shheeet you could lurp down to Haiti same deal
Didya get a BM59 keeper?
I thought those looked like a great rifle
