What is virtue?
Integrity with courage. Morality with courage, Love with courage.
It is exactly that simple.
A coward can never be virtuous.
The only sense of integrity a coward has is obedience to fear.
A narcissist can never be virtuous.
The only integrity a narcissist has is their obedience to their fear and desire.
Neither a coward or a narcissist chooses to love anyone other than themself.
Both cowardice and narcissism are choices an individual makes in response to environmental circumstances. Choices that they perceive will preserve and protect their self and their desires.
Likewise Integrity is a personal choice.
Courage is a personal choice.
Love is a personal choice.
To possess virtue one must not only choose integrity, one must choose to have the courage to act, in love.
Cowards and narcissists hate and fear virtue.
Yet , knowing that Western culture disdains cowardice and narcissism, the narcissistic cowards mock virtue, integrity, and honor with public displays of false virtue.
These public displays summon the standard “flying monkeys” that enable narcissists. Those “flying monkeys” then heap false praises for false virtue while throwing feces at anyone that displays actual virtue.
A person that has chosen Virtue, does so without seeking recognition.
They need no confirmation of their virtue, honor, love because it is real in their life.
The courageous need no confirmation of their courage.
A person that chooses virtue, needs no confirmation, no outside validation of their identity because they have found that identity within themselves.
My Father, Don Harper Sr. Said,
“Courage or Cowardice, we are free to choose. Be careful what you choose to be.”
Wise words that are sometimes hard to follow.
