What Is In A Name

I am that I am.

What does that mean?

Moses, asks the burning bush,

"Who shall I say sent me?"

GOD, does not give a proper name.

He states,

That HE Is, Because, HE Is.

There is nothing to compare, relate, or that may describe Who HE is.

The Only definition is He Himself.

Names are funny control mechanisms.

Naming something defines that thing.

Codifies it, contains it, sets limits, parameters, boundaries.

Just as Naming a person does.

GOD, cannot be Named, contained, or defined.

At best, we may struggle to attempt to describe some attribute. Some action, some aspect;

But never the totality.

If, we could contain GOD,

IE, name, describe the parameters,

that,

would mean that;

GOD, is Not GOD, that GOD is not God like.

Which is to say,

A being that has limits, cannot create that which is without limit.

Nothing within the parameters of the Universe could conceive of, define, and create the universe.

In order to Conceive, Create, and define the Universe, the creator would have to be out side of the Universe.

If the GOD, of creation could be defined, within context, within the confines of Space-Time, then it Would Not Be, Could not be GOD.

Are you as confused as I am now?

Wait doesn't the Bible say GOD has a name?

Yes the Bible does.

However, except for the " I Am That I Am" passage. There are No, Zero, not one name of GOD mentioned or described.

Every mention of GOD, the GOD of creation, gives an Epithet, not a name.

ADONAI - The Lord, a title, an epithet.

El Shaddai, El, Elohim, and on, All Epithets, titles, not proper names!

Looking into the New Testament we find GOD addressed as " The Father" The God of Abraham.

Again Titles, not names.

YESHUA/Joshua/Jesus is also an epithet when analyzed.

" GOD is Salvation" another descriptive Title, another Epithet.

Today, most Christians and Jews , use the word God, in a singular sense to refer to GOD the Creator.

In the ancient times, the word was, El,

Meaning, GOD.

What is the Name of GOD?

I suspect, not one that could even be spoken within Space-time.

We cannot limit, define , contain, or even begin to describe the true nature and being of GOD.

We can however, Know GOD.

That is the radical teaching of Christianity.

That, we, each and every human, can know GOD.

We can actually have an interactive relationship with GOD.

The second radical idea is that, there is Absolutely nothing any of us could ever do or be, that could earn the right, or privilege.

We cannot be holy enough, good enough, any enough to be worthy or any greater than Anything else within Space-Time.

GOD is the one that calls to us.

GOD is the One that makes it possible.

GOD is the truth.

All we have to do is

(1) Believe HIM

Which then leads into (2) Knowing HIM, which leads to (3) Seeking HIS Will, i.e. Obeying HIS Will.

If you do not believe, you cannot know, if you do not know you will not obey.

That's what Abraham did, as did Noah, Moses, Elijah, YESHUA.

That's all it takes.

GOD, Will reveal HIS Will, GOD will Write His Name within your Heart.

Read The Book Of JOHN,

Then Read Genesis.

Then sit back, think, and Talk To GOD, in honesty, hold Nothing back.

GOD will answer an Honest inquiry.

"Seek And Ye Shall Find."

"Behold, I Stand at the Door and Knock"
