The Word

My heart has betrayed me.

My mind has deceived

My desires enslaved me

I thought my chains were my needs.

With eyes wide open

I could not perceive

Lies brought no comfort

Truth no reprieve

Until the Word broke me

And the Word set me Free.

The name is Love.
