Spare the rod,
Spoil the child.
That is what the Bible said.
Question;
How does a shepherd use his staff?
He uses it to guard against predators,
He uses it to direct the sheep,
He uses it to guide.
He uses it to retrieve, to rescue a lost or tangled sheep.
What does a Shepherd NOT do with his staff, the shepherds rod?
He Does not beat the sheep.
He does not strike the sheep.
The Only time a shepherd uses the staff in a violent way is to protect, to defend, to strike predators that would devour the sheep
Think about it.
Is your child a predator?
Think about it.
The sheep follow the shepherd because the shepherd cares for them, the shepherd protects them, the shepherd provides for them.
Sheep trust and follow the shepherd because the Shepherd has earned their trust.
They do not flee.
Sheep are not led by fear. Sheep do not learn trust through fear.
Neither do children.
Think About it.
We lead by example.
We call them up to join us, we lend our strength to help them in the way.
We Love them.
Children do not learn trust from fear.
Children do not learn compassion from anger.
A leader, blazes the trail.
A leader shows the way.
Only a fool and a coward thinks pain and fear teach anything other than resentment and anger and rebellion.
Love is not for cowards.
We are called to Love.
Only Love can teach Love.
What did Yeshua do?
Think about it.
Beautiful message.
