The Old Gods

In western tradition, European, the gods were originally the ancestors. They evolved into, the Aos Sidhe of the Gaels for example. The Gods live within, as your genes, around you as language, culture, tradition, in the land as the history and remnants around you. The future in your children, in the present in you.

The Gods, are not the GOD, creator of Space-Time itself as found in the Bible. The old gods served a different purpose. To bind community together in common cause, to preserve culture, to give a sense of identity outside of the self alone.

That is the key to understanding the power of the old Gods.

The ancient shamans , Druids, priests, used this to direct, to manipulate the people.

Today,

We have evolved the old gods.

Today, we have Star wars, which is a retelling of the Battles of Moytura from Irish mythology.

We have the classic cowboy movies which are retelling of the cattle raids of the Tain and revenge epics of Norse saga.

Today rather than Druids, and priests directing kings.

We have , what I call, Applied Jungian Mechanics, ( read Man and his symbols by Carl Jung) in movies, books, music, advertising. The exact same techniques used by priests and shamans to manipulate and control the masses.

Political flag waving, patriotism, rallies, all work the same way.

To the same tactical purpose.

Jim Morrison figured that out.

He often spoke of it.

Most completely misunderstood.

To truly be awake is to understand the alchemy of Jungian Mechanics.

To be awake, is to no longer be voluntarily hypnotized by modern techno shamans serving their wicked ambition.

To be awake is to see these systems within yourself, and refusing to allow them to trick you into serving your inner wicked Ambition.

To be awake is to perceive the hand of the living GOD, in all life, all around you.

To be awake is to breathe in the breath of life, the spirit of GOD, to be free from the deception of self and the old gods, the Dead gods.

To be awake, is to live life free, to learn to love, to be in active relationship with GOD, with people, with all. Not to be an anesthetic dreamer, anesthetized to life, trapped in the ever devouring singularity of your desires.

To be awake is to not be a slave to the wicked Ambitions of either yourself or others.
