The Magic of Magick.

An essay about Jungian Mechanics,Society and the current Apocalypse.

Druid, the word brings many images and ideas most of which are nothing more than misunderstood and distorted concepts. Thoughts of Merlin the magician and the quest for the Holy Grail fill the common consciousness.

There are serious reasons these ideas are preserved in the public memory.

Magickal reasons. The immortal Magick of symbols, of myths, of ideas. Myth holds great power. Carl Jung stumbled onto this truth with his theories of the universal shared unconscious mind.

The science of advertising uses these concepts to capture public interest and create a desire for the products being sold. Politicians use these concepts to manipulate the masses. Religions follow these same exact concepts to manipulate culture and impart spiritual concepts.

The Druids were masters of these secrets, Masters of this arcane science. A science that has become the stuff of misunderstood ideas transformed into superstition and myth. It is not the science that is superstition; rather it is the misunderstanding that is superstition.

Secret words of power. Magickal words and phrases that when spoken transform and alter reality itself. Symbols of such arcane power that inscribing them transform reality. The secret lies not in the words or symbols themselves but in the ideas behind them.

It is the idea that holds power not the symbol or word. The idea transforms reality. Magick is the art of transforming reality by sheer force of will. What is will, but an idea? An idea formed in the mind, then expressed and shared.

The sharing of this idea is the mechanism that triggers the transformation of reality. Artists do this through the creation of symbols. These symbols take many forms such as sculptures, paintings, sketches expressing the inner idea of the Artists.

Poets do this with words. Musicians do this with rhythm and sound. Movies do this by combining, image, symbol, sound, rhythm, poetry and mythology. A movie is truly a magickal spell.

Something as simple and common place as preparing for a date. The choices in how to dress, arrange ones hair, the perfume or cologne chosen, all to a purpose, to send unspoken messages and signals to the prospective partner. Seduction is the art of casting a spell.

The mechanism works via an unconscious response of the audience reacting to symbols. Symbols that have been deliberately manipulated in order to elicit an particular emotional response along with an intellectual integration of the idea expressed.

All of this occurs without the receiving audience being aware that it is happening. The very definition of occult in action. Hidden secret acts that alter perception without any form of physical contact. Shazam, Abracadabra, the magic words of power from myths and tales. Words do in fact wield power when spoken or inscribed.

It is time to enter into a discussion of words and their meanings. These words in particular: Druid, Magician, Prophet, Religion, Magick, Occult, Superstition, and Materialism.

Druid: From the Celtic word Draoi, meaning both Oak tree, and door. A Druid is the guardian , the keeper of the door. The doorway into the secret inner-world and fabric of the spiritual as well as physical reality.

The Druids were the keepers of all of the knowledge of the Celtic peoples. The Druids were Magicians, Prophets, Poets, Teachers, Judges, Historians, Physicians, Scientists ,Astronomers, observers of the natural world, plants animals, agriculture, animal husbandry, guardians of the sacred calendar.

The Druids studied the mysteries of the inner spiritual realm as well as the physical. They stood in the doorway between both. Their purpose was to bring about the union, the integration of both physical reality and spiritual.

Magician: A Magician in the original sense, from the root, Magi, the wise. Wise in the secret arts of the spiritual realm. A practitioner of those hidden or secret arts. This is to differentiate between the modern entertainer called a magician that practices the art of illusion and distraction in order to entertain an audience, devoid of any moral/spiritual meaning.

The Magi, Were in essence, a type of Druid that arose among the ancient Indo-European peoples that became the Indo-Aryans of Persia, the Medes, Assyrians, Hittites and others. The wise initiates of Mithraism, as well as the creators of Sanskrit and the Brahmic religions that evolved into modern Hinduism and Zoroastrianism.

To further explore these words and their meanings. These words in particular: Druid, Magician, Prophet, Religion, Magick, Occult, Superstition, and Materialism.

The Druids became the pinnacle of the western tradition of north western Europe. The inheritors of the secrets of the lost Danube civilization and Megalith cultures.

While the eastern and western traditions share similar attributes, they are none the less completely separate entities shaped by the evolution of their respective cultures, language, traditions and mythologies.

The words and symbols of the eastern system do not hold the same power among western society as those words and symbols exercise among the eastern society's.

Prophet: A Prophet is one that reveals or imparts hidden spiritual truths. The prophet is the mechanism which reveals the words, wisdom and instructions of the God or Gods.

In Celtic traditions this Prophet is referred to as one gifted with the Honey tongue, a tongue incapable of uttering an untruth. The tongue that cannot lie. Thomas the Rhymer provides a perfect example of this ideal. In Christian traditions we have Moses, Elijah, Daniel, and John the Baptist as examples.

Religion: From a Latin root that means to bind together. Religion is the mechanism that binds a people together via the use of symbols, myths, and shared collective identity. The Roman Catholic Church is a prime example of this in spiritual terms. In political terms the church exercises power and influence just as the Druids did among the ancient Celts.

In modern secular terms, Patriotism has become a prime example. Patriotism has replaced traditional spiritual symbolism and myth with a new symbol such as, flags, popular heroes along with an collective national or cultural identity.

Magick: I use the spelling with a k, to differentiate between the arcane definition, and the art of distraction and illusion used by popular modern stage magicians.

Magick is the art of transforming reality through force of will as Aleister Crowley inadequately defined it.

I believe a better definition would be, the art of transforming reality though the use of ideas. The employment of symbols, words or phrases that elicit an unconscious response. Advertising, Art, Music, Poetry, Movies are all examples of Magick in action.

Politicians employ these same techniques in order to sway and manipulate the masses. Psychology employs these same concepts in psychoanalysis, albeit in an incomplete and I believe inadequate manner.

Occult: Occult means secret, that which is hidden. Thus, knowledge of the occult simply means, knowledge of that which is secret or has been hidden.

Superstition: A misunderstanding or confusion of ideas or concepts explaining physical or spiritual reality. Superstition is the misrepresentation of ideas or symbols which has no connection with the original actual definition that has become a popular belief. In simplest terms, superstition is a belief in something that is not true.

Materialism: The perception that only the physically measurable aspects of reality are valid. This manifests as only valuing the outward form as significant. This perception of reality ignores or denies the inner spiritual aspect of existence.

Modern Psychology, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Ecology, Most western spirituality, and ideas such as Patriotism, Political ideology, Racism, Progressivism (the political ideology) and post modernist philosophy are firmly rooted in Materialism.

Materialism has also given rise to socialist-collectivist ideologies such as Fascism and Marxism. Materialism has been at the root of the worst evils that have occurred over the last few centuries. Materialism dehumanizes human identity and interaction.

Please read these provided definitions carefully in order to grasp the meanings contained in the following statements.

The superstition of religion has been used to conceal the actions, manipulations and control exercised by our political and spiritual leaders.

The occult knowledge of magick has been employed by advertisers, political consultants, spiritual leaders and conmen to deliberately manipulate and control society.

Modern society has been created, controlled and manipulated through the lie of superstition.

The tools used to do this are as ancient as humanity is itself. Change or obscure cultural icons. Alter or obscure word definitions and usage.

The Control of language and the public expression of ideas, censorship, is a core method of social control. The casting of a spell upon a people.

These are the techniques of broad social control. Control what an population thinks and says and one controls that population. The Removal of words from usage, the alteration of definitions removes the very idea expressed by that word from thought. Effective mind control.

The old order, the Druids, the Magi, have been deliberately denigrated and mocked in order to occult the truths contained within mythology and replace them. This concealment has provided a form without the meaning. An existence and perceived reality devoid of meaning and purpose rooted in the actual cultural identity.

The spiritual truth has been concealed in superstition, then isolated and replaced with a new truth of perception divorced from spirituality based entirely upon Materialism.

The empty and unstable social construct of materialism has birthed a state of insatiable appetite for fulfillment. A hunger that cannot be filled because the basic human required nutrient of spiritual completion has been excluded from the recipe.

This lies at the root of the failure in modern psychology. By reducing everything to a purely material analysis, the underlying spiritual need is ignored.

The ideology of Marxism makes this same error. In fact, all collectivist constructs, social, political or spiritual that are built upon this false basis of pure materialism are doomed to be self destructive and unstable. Racism is another aspect of Materialism that has manifest.

Racism is a collectivist construct based upon the creation of false collective identities rooted in strictly physical or outward characteristics.

Racism is a method of thought control which dehumanizes a particular population. A dehumanized group is other, not a part of , choose the preferred collective. Religion, society, national identity, culture, humanity.

This marks those dehumanized as potential threats. That has ended in the past with mass graves, death camps, enslavement, and genocides. There lies the contribution of materialism to human civilization.

Over the last three hundred years, there has been an attempted revival of the ancient practice of Magick. An attempted reintroduction that has sadly been based upon a superstitious reinterpretation.

This interpretation has mistakenly taken metaphors for ideas and superstitiously translated the metaphor as physical reality. Paradoxically using purely materialist perception to define spiritual ideas.

This has given rise to practices that are based upon the form devoid of meaning and purpose. In this superstition driven misperception a instability of mind, body and spirit has afflicted the western world. This affliction has weakened and in some cases shattered the very basis of cultural, racial, and personal identity. Materialism is the source of this affliction.

There is a cure, a method to provide for and facilitate healing. This method has been occulted, hidden in plain sight. Twisted and concealed within the lie of superstition.

The cure lies within the inner meanings of mythology. The journey of the hero, The initiation into the inner mysteries of the perception of reality. The transformation of the self which in turn transforms human perception of reality.

This was ever the goal and purpose of Magick. An joint emphasis upon the individual experience along with the social experience and expression. Doing this along our core myths, would, I believe, bring stability to our entire civilization. A stability that directly influences the perception of personal identity.

As our civilization has devolved, we see an epidemic of people in pain, divided and isolated, in confusion, lost, with nothing of stable substance to provide the answer to those questions. This has led to the disintegration of both society as well as the individual.

Simultaneously we have witnessed the rise of overtly predatory systems of control. These systems can only thrive in the environment of confused identity. Examples of these Predatory systems are, Marxism, Fascism, Corporatism, Progressivism, Materialism, Religious fundamentalism, and Islamo-Fascism.

When a person or a society has no clear sense of self, of identity, a state of instability and insecurity results. This state allows the predatory system to thrive.

This is where we, western civilization, find ourselves now.

The solution, the antidote, is the ancient path of the wise that gave us our sense of identity, our values, our strength.

This is also why these predatory systems hate our culture, values, and identity. Why they seek to destroy individual identity, cultural identity, as well as family structure.

Traditional Pagan beliefs, along with Christianity are completely antithetical to these predatory systems. This is why, Mao, Stalin, Hitler were so opposed to the traditional cultures, values and identity.

This is why the “Progressive Left” of current days is determined to destroy our history, culture, family, and identity.

The neo materialists, progressive leftists, neo Marxists, Fascists whatever they identify as,

Seek to destroy our culture, identity and civilization, our faith, myths and values in order to impose their nihilistic values of materialism, and death.

I believe however that Life, Love, and Spirit always prevails.
