" The man with no thought of losing. The one with no thought of surrender. To such, there is only one thought, Victory. Such a person can only be destroyed, never defeated. Such a person will inspire others… Simply from the example. Such is immortality, manifest."
There is a certain eloquence in silence .
What that means is open to questions.
Pain is a magnificent teacher.
Llew discovered that both thoughts were not based in experience. Catha's first blow caught him by surprise. The second and third, simply hurt.
Llew did indeed learn something.
Catha is ambidextrous.
Llew also learned, fury is intensely eloquent.
Of course, Catha had been taught rhetoric from the time of her first words. Eloquence was to be expected. Her Silence was a terrible eloquence.
Grief has stages they say.
No, Grief is chaos, madness and rage.
There is no order to it.
Love is precisely the same.
Catha raged in silence holding nothing back. LLew saw only two possible choices. Either could bring death. Oh gods she is so beautiful enraged! Blazing emerald eyes, her neck and cheeks flushed, her hair flowing, living flames. Battle her unto death. Or, kiss her unto death. Really there was no possible choice.
Her lips so enticing, her wicked smile.
A kiss. The first. Oh gods she is a gorgeous fury.
Flames.
Aos Sidhe are beings built from flames.
Twisting fields of fire, flames of every spectrum. Electromagnetic, Photons, quantum fields, micro waves, every one of Energy's spectrums.
When flames meet, they consume each other.
Writhing ecstasies of devouring union.
Neither dominant, neither submissive.
Two storms of fire, a rain of flames and lightning, passions cries in thunder.
Catha embraced LLew, wrapping in her fire.
Blue and green flames, highlights of gold , to meet his lightning, pure white and golden flames.
Union not only of flesh, but of power, of souls.
Entwined in a single fire. A storm of flames dancing, enthralled in the burning, to burn to be burned to be passion unleashed, to fall in love anew with each touch, in each caress. To burn in each kiss with each taste of flame.
Love is madness.
Danu watched LLew's battered form wrap itself about Catha cradling her .
The lovers shared the Pair Dadeni.
Healing would be years in the making.
A desperate plan designed by LLew. Weeks of convincing had weakened Danus reluctance.
In the end Llew had left no true choice. The entire unicorn joy ride had been planned. Down to deliberately enraging the beast before Leaping on.
Resignation brings no comfort.
Llew had sworn to follow Catha , even into the other where. He had sworn to bring her home, intact.
Brave fool. If he fails, the Aos Sidhe lose both champion and the heir, the next queen.
She kissed him back.
Cathabadua shocked herself. Damn him!
Why wouldn't he fight her?
Why was she kissing him? The man is, was, will be, insufferable!
Eternally insufferable. Ach she would kill him! She wanted to. Still, she kissed him. Drawing him into her, breathing his flames.
He burns! Oh gods it burns.
Sobs wracking her, LLew cradling her, kissing her, speaking her name. Her name a prayer, an incantation, a destiny sought and met. Her name, sacred on his tongue.
" Croi anam, anam croi, mo cariad."
" My heart's soul, Soul of my heart, my darling..."
Catha felt the fury passing. A nightmare storm fading into the distance.
She needed the fury. The power the strength of rage. Because the pain was too much. The real, the now was unbearable.
LLew held her in flesh. Llew held her in spirit, in fire. In love. " You, you cannae, you are my hearts beat, my blood, my bone, my life, my flame. You cannae go. Mine! You are mine, my heart, my soul, and I, willnae let you go!"
Llew called Catha back, back to flesh and pain.
Catha watched it all.
Herself, broken, hideously scarred, burnt, bleeding, enveloped in His lightning. His whispers , hammering thunders.
" Och the insufferable man."
She returned kiss for kiss, touch for touch, word for word. They shared that for which there are no words there is only the storm.
Time is a relative fiend.
For some, it is a lightning flash of an instant.
For others, moments are hours, seconds are centuries. With time, all answers are true.
A century in the material, moments in the other.
Fenias prospered, a hundred and fifty odd orbits around the sun brought magnificent change. Atlantis had risen, as had the sea.
Where it was once on the coast, now, an Island.
Wheels within wheels of canals, the main palace rising rank upon rank of tall fae towers in the center.
The mainland coast now two leagues distant. Connected by a causeway that appeared and disappeared with the tides.
Dragon ships sailed the world seas. Herds gathered, mastered, crops, orchards. Glorious abundance. There were even New hatched Draeg nymphs cavorting in the Summer sea.
The great fresh water sea in the midst of Fenias largest landmass.
The Pair Dadeni sheltered the lovers. Directed Fomorii nanites labored. Rebuilding, building a new the shape of Llew and Catha.
Catha had been burned and scoured to the bone in places. Llew had been torn apart and crushed. The Nanites had great labors to perform.
Reknitting shattered bones of Titanium ceramic, triple strand DNA with built in crystalline structure, takes Time.
Danu had sought to see Catha's precious wings restored. To no avail.
There were some few changes in the process for Llew and Catha.
The first Aos Sidhe to ever be placed in the Pair Dadeni together.
The Fomorii nanites know nothing of love. The Fomorii know only desire. Which is why the Fomorii were incapable of comprehending anything about the Aos Sidhe.
Neither could the Fomorii access or control Aos Sidhe. Simply put, the Aos Sidhe ignored the nanites presence.
This fed the hatred. An intelligence based only in desire. Desire to control, confronted with a race of individuals abjectly indifferent to their existence. A race that could control and direct the Fomorii.
When Fomorii nanites attempted to control Aos Sidhe, nothing happened.
Creations built and designed to control the material , limited to the base parameters of the material could not conceive the quantum field reality of the Aos Sidhe mind.
That did not prevent the Fomorii desire for control.
Being incapable of internal manipulation, the Fomorii resorted to purely external.
The second phase of the great war began in the Pair Dadeni.
In a realm eternal, where past present and can be, are a singularity, Time is entirely subjective. Both Catha and Llew were completely unaware of the Fomorii nanites desire, goals and attempts to control them. What Catha and Llew knew was each other, nothing else existed. Shared memories, thoughts, awareness, a true marriage of heart, mind, and soul. A new fire of existence.
The merging of mind and soul dominated all. Flames consuming and feeding each other. Separate wills intertwined, experienced the other.
Catha saw herself through Llew's spirit. Llew came to know himself through Catha's experience. Reshaping each other, reshaping themselves, continual destruction and rebirth.
When twin storms of fire make love, a new thing is created. A synthesis in microcosm of the mystery of the powers in creation itself.
Catha rode along in Llew's memory.
Seeing through his eyes, feeling through his heart. Even as Llew rode within Catha's heart, mind and eyes. The sight of himself was shocking to see.

Another chapter with the redhead with the devilish smile while holding fire. I could see why she could be trouble.
