We The people.
The people held authority, the people held power,
And the people failed to hold the abusers accountable.

Abusers continue to abuse because of complacency and enabling.
We the people allowed it to happen.
Thomas Jefferson warned us about the tree of liberty.
Ben Franklin heckled us to pay attention.
Will Rogers reminded us.
Now,

Avoiding our responsibilities only prolongs the misery.
