Rooted in how they see themselves as taught by society and culture. Thing is, those abused would have No reason to feel shame, unless taught to.
Shame comes from how one See's theirself along with how others are perceived to see them.
Like the idea of losing face.
Face is the public perception of honor, worth etc.
Which boils down, as I understand it, to pride.
BTW,
I believe it is an act of evil for anyone, to suggest a victim be ashamed. Victim shaming is evil.
As a Believer, I think a victims sense of shame is a demonic lie straight from the pits of hell. A lie the adversary uses to inflict pain, separation, isolation, guilt. Separation from the Love, Mercy, and Grace of GOD, isolation from Love.
If the victim can be deceived into feeling shame, then they feel as if they deserved it, plus, are inclined to not seek the love and support they need to heal.
Sounds Right 🙏
Because Shame is about how one views themselves, along with how others view you.
The image of you.
Pride is the same.
If one has no pride, one can have no shame.
Not exactly.
Shame is a learned thing.

I think so.
Shame is a terribly subjective , deeply personal thing.
I cannot begin to presume to tell you how to deal with it.
I can point to Who can.
May I suggest, you have a conversation with GOD. Pray, tell him how you feel, what you think, be agonizingly honest with yourself and GOD.
This I know. When you do that, HE will not condemn, blame or judge. HE will Love, Listen, give you mercy, peace.
GOD only condemns, judges those that are not honest with him and do not seek him.
That is all I know.
This also.
That voice inside that that tells you to be ashamed is NOT from GOD. The adversary, the accuser, is a liar.
