My thoughts on social systems.
Collectivism is for insects.
Humans are individuals, we do not share a hive mind nor do we function as a herd.
In terms of evolutionary social development, the basic social structure of humans is the family. Mother, Father, Children. Followed in significance by the extended family. Grandparents, uncles aunts, cousins.
The next extension is the tribe, which the family unit voluntarily cooperates with.
The tribe interacts voluntarily with other tribes. Trade, language, shared culture. This cooperative organization is the basis of the nation.
Through all of these voluntary cooperatives, the point is, support of and protection of the individual.
In voluntary cooperations, individuals organize, for mutual benefit. In working for the benefit of each individual, the cooperative organization insures the group as a whole benefits.
This is my understanding of the evolution of Human social organization.
Compare that with the collectivist view.
The individual exists to serve the collective.
There is no recognition of individual identity, rights or value. Only the collective has rights or value. Only the collective, which is an artificial arbitrary social construct, holds value.
History demonstrates exactly what the consequences of collective identity have been. Empires, war, genocide, artificial famines, oppression of individual liberty, enslavement of population.
It doesn't matter what the collective entity is called.
Theocracy, Feudal Kingdom, Empire, Fascist, Nation, State, City State, Socialist state, Capitalist State, Collective, Commune.
In each collective system, the collective is served at the expense of the individual , through use of force.
Merely another name for slavery.
The principal difference between the individual perspective and the collective is, use of force.
Individuals, as such , in ethical circumstances, voluntarily cooperates with other individuals for mutual benefit.
Collective systems force the individual to act .
One is voluntary.
The other is forced.
Collectives always must have hierarchy in order to function.
All resources are controlled by that hierarchy. The hierarchy, ie, Collective, council, premier, minister, President, King, emperor, CEO, what ever label chosen , functions the exact same way.
Authority, power, force is used, this force is justified with, by, simple force. This force is exerted according to the will of the Individual, in authority within the established hierarchy.
For the individual, the result is ALWAYS the same.
No actual liberty. Complete dependence upon the whims of the hierarchy, no actual freedom of choice, no rights on the individual level whatsoever.
Call it Feudalism, Fascism, Socialism, Democracy, Communism, Nationalism, the end result for the individual is the same.
To date, The only system that has actively sought to protect the right of the individual has been the Constitutional Republic.
A Constitutional Republic is an example of a voluntary system of organization that limits the power of hierarchy, in preference of preserving the liberty of the individual.
Minarchy.
One of the principal flaws in collective systems is that Humans are not insects , we did not evolve as hives. Humans are also not herd animals.
Humans are in fact, predators.
Predators with individual identity, the capacity to think ahead, to reason, to learn, to adapt, to voluntarily cooperate.
What happens when predators are forced into close quarters?
Conflict, dominance struggles, unnatural competition for resources, dominance, mates, endless conflicts.
The actual cause of conflict is being forced into the system.
Collectivist systems view anything not in the collective, controlled by the collective, dependent upon the collective, as a threat to the collective. That is why the first target of collective systems is the Family. Family, historically, provided for the needs of family members. Extended Families are not dependent upon the collective ( state, crown, commune, etc) which means the individual families may act outside of the whim of the collective.
Identity, based upon Individual, and family relationship, supercedes the “greater collective” identity. This directly threatens the entire basis of the collective hierarchies power base.
That is exactly why the left seeks destruction of the family, local community, and individual identity.
I, am a champion of the Individual.
The individual is the ONLY actual minority.
