First, let me turn your world upside down.
Take a look at Europe looking East.
The way the people on the Atlantic Fringe see Europe.
The Traditional view.
Interesting concentration of R-1b,
Two Factors to place the Images above, in perspective.
First. ALL the Celtic origins myths emphatically state that the Gods,
The Tuatha De Danu, Daoine Sidhe, Aos Sidhe ,
Are the people that dwell in the Sidhe.
The Sidhe are the Megalithic henges, Cromlechs, Barrows, Passage graves.
The Myths are clear that the ancestors of “Celts” came from the east, met the Aos Sidhe, conquered them. The Myths also make it Clear that the Aos Sidhe are their Ancestors.
Dr. Barry Cunliffe put forth the theory that the Celtic Language, developed along the Atlantic Fringe, out of the intermixing of Bell Beaker/ Urnfield people with the primarily maritime Megalithic culture.
This Language and culture then spread from West to East along the maritime trade routes.
Look at the above maps and consider that.
Consider also.
ALL Greek, and Roman accounts clearly document that Celtic migration moved West to East.
The distribution of R-1b, indicates a clear dispersal pattern. West to East.
Food for thought.

Great post Don!
Yeah, I personally think there was a fusion. Bell beaker fountain head, Hallstatt continental and insular merging. It may be some of the sword and dagger style that we associate with the Celts has its origins in the isles. We know Denmark was the sword capital during the Bronze Age and exported as far as the Eastern Mediterranean, so a lot was taking place in the Bronze Age obviously. A little material culture anyway. Any additional thoughts Don, or anyone else?
Donn, real history is incredibly fascinating! Thank you for sharing this today!
